Every week, Action Karate Plymouth encourages our students to take charge of their emotional state to optimize their personal performance and life experience.
This week, we’re sharing an exercise that will guide you down the path to personal success, brought to us by Australian entrepreneur and fitness enthusiast Travis Jones.
If you’ve ever had had one of those days where you wake up feeling off, the key is to shift your mindset as soon as possible to get yourself out of that funk and crush the day instead!
It’s possible to pull yourself out of low points and start performing at your best! This all boils down to your mindset and habits.
Observe what you do on the days where you’re productive, motivated and focused. Write down your routine from those days. Get down to the little details, including the music you listened to and the food you ate. From there, start building habits and routines based on actions that promote personal success.
Finally, notice if your own negative thoughts are bringing you down. Similarly to your good days, it all comes down to your mindset on the bad ones. The good news is that you can simply decide to get out of your own way.

Begin noticing is that your state of mind is not random, but is created by you. Every single part of your day (including what you are thinking) contributes to the bigger picture of how you feel and ultimately the kind of day you will have.
